Our services

For the implementation of different projects, we do not only use our workshop in Delfzijl, but we also visit our customers.

We can bring our own equipment such as mobile blasting containers, compressors and spraying installations when visiting the customer, to work on parts on-site.

When carrying our tasks on location, we comply with the applicable environmental and safety regulations. For risky tasks, a risk inventory is drawn up and in addition we work with SCC certified personnel.
We are used to carrying out most of our activities in accordance with customer specifications. This means that the customer determines under which conditions the blasting and conservation should be performed. Some examples being specifications under ISO12944, NORSOK M 501, or customer-specific specifications. We hold a declaration of conformity, EN 1090, allowing us to also treat load-bearing constructions.

Are you in search of advice for your activities? Contact us and be informed by our own coating specialist, who is certified to draw up specifications, give advice and perform inspection work.
Thermal Spray Aluminium/Thermal Spray Zinc, also called metal-spraying or flame-spraying, are treatments for steel, where liquid aluminium of zinc is sprayed onto the object to, as such, apply a conservation layer.

The feature of the cathodic functioning of zinc and aluminium is that it ‘surrenders’ to the iron, which, as a result, will not corrode.

TSZ serves as a proper protective layer after blasting, and has excellent properties to be painted over afterwards. It is widely used for, for instance, garden gates, chassis, trailer parts and stairs. TSA is often used for the offshore industry because of its excellent properties and long life span.
We have different blasting and coating cabins for the different activities.

They vary from 10 x 2.5 x 3 metres (LxWxH), our smallest cabin, to our large cabin, able to treat parts measuring 50 x 14 x 8.5 metres (LxWxH). Our cranes can lifts weights, altogether, up to 40 tonnes.

In our blasting cabins, we can use different materials for blasting, such as pig iron, brown fused alumina or glass bead.
From 2017 we are also capable of applying powder coating. This electrostatic spraying process ensures a fine, impact-resistant finishing coat. As a pre-treatment, all parts are blasted to ensure good adhesion.

We can powder coat both small parts, such as rims, moped frames or garden gates and larger parts, up to a maximum of 3 x 3.5 x 7 metres (L x B x H).

We work for private persons as well as for companies. Inquire about the possibilities and contact us.

Mobile blasting

We use our mobile blasting equipment to carry out tasks on-site. For instance a ship’s hold, machine room, plant machinery, storage tanks or dam walls.

For this type of blasting we make use of steel grit, brown fused alumina or olivine sand.
The parts to be treated are carefully separated from the surroundings in advance and any waste is extracted and disposed of in an eco-friendly manner.

Dustless blasting

In an environment where causing dust should be avoided, such as floors of hospitals, garages, factories and stables, we make use of our special blasting machine with extraction. This way the dust is extracted immediately, leaving no dust in the room. This type of roughening is usually applied during the pre-treatment of the different finishing methods, but also sometimes to ensure a non-slip surface in transport or other aisles.

Glass bead blasting

For materials where blasting is basically the finishing operation, such as aluminium, stainless steel, copper, but also in case of furniture, we perform the so-called glass bead blasting. This is done by use of small glass beads. The result is a surface that looks somewhat hammered, yet remains smooth. Some application possibilities are magnesium rims and cylinder blocks.

Cabin blasting

Blasting and Coating company Koop  offers extensive possibilities in terms of blasting. In our blasting cabin at Delfzijl, we carry out various blasting operations.

Our customers consist of both private persons and companies. We blast small objects, such as car rims or large objects, such as ship’s pumps, dam walls, piping and containers.
In addition, we are concerned with milling activities, for instance for removal of road markings. Also chemical cleaning is among the possibilities.

Maximum treatment dimensions (LxWxH): 50 m x14 m x 8.5 m
Capacity of the cranes is 40,000 kg
